Both models were awarded in the Urban category. In addition to the optional DualBattery Technology, the experts highlighted the Multicharger’s extended luggage carrier, capable of carrying cargo weighing up to 60 kg. In the eyes of the jury, the carrier makes the Multicharger the “pickup truck of E-Bikes”. “It rides virtually like a normal E-Bike, while the long wheelbase ensures the extremely smooth running and riding safety,” say the experts on the innovative crossover model.

The Nevo GT impressed as a sporty low step-through bike with fully integrated Bosch PowerTube battery, a clean design and intelligent features, such as the low-maintenance belt drive and the optional DualBattery Technology. The Nevo GT is “not only perfectly equipped for everyday use, but also does not shy away from long tours with the optional additional battery,” is how the jury describe it in their statement.

The Design & Innovation Award was founded in 2013 and is one of the leading awards in the bike industry. Its demands far exceed what existing awards require. The products submitted are intensively tested, examined and discussed by an experienced team made up of experts from the Enduro Mountainbike, E-Mountainbike and Gran Fondo magazines. The Design & Innovation Award is the only award aimed at both consumers and the industry.
