Packster nuvinci and Tinker nuvinci are crowned victors in the e-bike test

As part of the major test of E-Cargo bikes and City Pedelecs in the 2/2017 edition of e-bike magazine, the Riese & Müller models Packster nuvinci and Tinker nuvinci triumphed in their respective categories with an overall assessment of “very good”.

The Packster was awarded an overall score of 1.5 in the E-Cargo bike category. The testers were impressed by the smooth interplay of the Bosch Performance mid-mounted motor, the continuous NuVinci hub gear and the Gates belt drive as well as by the DualBattery technology, which increases the battery capacity to 1000 Wh. The Packster's riding behaviour and safety were also rated as very good. In addition, the editors were impressed with the accessories: “(...) The icing on the cake: The bike is available in two different loading lengths, either with a slim board serving as a loading surface or with a wooden box – along with seat boards and safety belts to transport children.” The Packster nuvinci features a continuous NuVinci hub gear, Gates belt drive and hydraulic disc brakes. The editors’ overall conclusion: “Very good equipment, strong mid-mounted motor. Comfortable and safe riding behaviour.”

With an overall score of 1.4, the Tinker nuvinci secured victory in the City Pedelec category. As a compact town bike, it won the testers over with its agile and swift riding behaviour provided by the Bosch Performance CX drive. The Tinker's riding behaviour was described as “supremely rigid” as well as “absolutely controlled, with fantastic directional stability”. The Tinker nuvinci is equipped with the continuous NuVinci hub gear, Gates belt drive and hydraulic disc brakes. To meet the highest expectations of comfort, the compact E-Bike can be adjusted to different body heights. The conclusion of the e-bike editors: “Compact city runabout with extremely rigid frame. Coherently equipped and superbly manufactured.”

The entire test report is published in the 2/2017 edition of e-bike.
