The new Roadster.
Pure urban design.
The new Roadster from Riese & Müller, manufacturer of premium E-Bikes, is the result of a total makeover of the successful bike, impressing all-comers with its attractive minimalist appearance specifically designed for fast cycling on roads. A real stand-out feature of this bike is the electric green metallic version, as well as the Roadster Mixte, a lower step-through version.
The Riese & Müller Roadster road model has undergone a complete redesign with the 2018 model year. “We wanted to create a new look based on the idea of the Roadster and yet still a reinterpretation of it. We’ve created the perfect speedy urban rocket with an even cleaner design and contemporary sporty look,” explains Markus Riese, founder and CEO of Riese & Müller.
The design is dominated by attractive detailing: mudguards close to the wheels in the colour of the frame and the use of narrow low-friction tires underline its minimalist appearance. The optional carrier continues the minimalist design of the frame tubes and features only two struts. The carrier bracket is concealed behind the rear mudguard, giving the entire rear dropout a much cleaner appearance. Another new benefit of this model is the optional front carrier, the design of which perfectly matches that of the rear carrier. It has a centrally fixed wooden base plate and a smart luggage strap system that enables the most diverse items of luggage to be secured.
The traditional Roadster boasts the new Bosch Active plus motor, while the HS models feature a Bosch Performance Speed drive. For optimum efficiency, the touring and touring HS versions have a Shimano derailleur. The new urban version comes with an electric Shimano Alfine Di2 hub gear and belt drive.
The Roadster is available in three frame sizes and comes in matt black, white and electric green metallic. Alongside the classic Roadster, the range also includes a Roadster Mixte model with a lower step-through. There are four different equipment options and is available to buy from October 2017 from 2.959,00 €.
