Seit 1993 stellt Riese & Müller seine Fahrer und ihre Bedürfnisse in den Mittelpunkt jeder Entwicklung. Um das Fahrerlebnis über das Produkt hinaus zu verbessern, präsentiert der Weiterstädter Hersteller von Premium E-Bikes und E-Cargo Bikes im Modelljahr 2019 zukunftsweisende Vernetzung und digitale Services. So werden Riese & Müller E-Bikes im Alltag noch nützlicher und angenehmer. Die Rider-centric Experience (RX) steht dabei immer im Vordergrund – damit Fahrer sich ganz auf die einzigartige Fahrdynamik konzentrieren können. 

Mit Start des neuen Modelljahrs 2019 hebt Riese & Müller die Rider-centric Experience (RX) auf ein neues Level. Nicht nur der modellreihenübergreifende Einsatz des COBI.Bike Systems, sondern auch ein neues digitales Serviceportal für Händler und Endkunden und ein neuartiger Premium-Service zum Diebstahlschutz sorgen für eine engere Verbindung des Fahrers mit seinem E-Bike.

Riese & Müller und COBI.Bike starten Zusammenarbeit für connected E-Bikes

Mit COBI.Bike sport bringt Riese & Müller die ganze Smartphone-Power auf das E-Bike: Von ausgeklügelter Fahrrad-Navigation über Lieblings-Songs oder Telefonieren bis hin zu Fitness-Tracking und Live-Wetter. Mit der zugehörigen App wird das Smartphone zum Bordcomputer – Motorsteuerung inklusive. Gemeinsam mit COBI.Bike arbeitet Riese & Müller an der Zukunft des Bikes. Mit einem gemeinsamen Verständnis von Innovation und Technik entwickeln beide Unternehmen die nächste Evolutionsstufe des Bikens. Smart, komfortabel und elektrisch. Ab Modelljahr 2019 ist COBI.Bike eine Option bei ausgewählten E-Bike- und E-Cargo-Baureihen von Riese & Müller. Die Zusammenarbeit beschränkt sich dabei nicht auf die Ausstattung der Bikes mit dem smarten Connected Biking System COBI.Bike. Beide Unternehmen entwickeln gemeinsam digitale Produkte und Services weiter. Für die Nutzung von COBI.Bike auf Riese & Müller E-Bikes werden spezielle Module entwickelt und so die COBI.Bike App entscheidend an die spezifischen Bedürfnisse der Riese & Müller Fahrer angepasst. Als einer der ersten setzt Riese & Müller dabei auf das COBI.Bike DevKit (SDK), das weltweit erste offene Entwicklungs-Tool für das Bike Cockpit. Mit sogenannten „Modulen“ kann die COBI.Bike App um weitere Funktionen ergänzt werden. Ob eine direkte Händlersuche in der App oder das passende Handbuch zum Fahrrad mit nur einem Klick, das sind nur einige der Ideen, an denen das Team von COBI.Bike und Riese & Müller arbeiten. Zusätzlich werden die COBI.Bike Systeme für Riese & Müller E-Bikes durch spezifische Riese & Müller Farbwelten, sogenannte „Themes“ und ein Branding auf das Marken- und Fahrerlebnis angepasst. Das Ziel der Zusammenarbeit ist es, Riese & Müller Fahrern zusätzlichen Nutzen durch digitale Services zu bieten. 

Zukunftsweisender Diebstahlschutz von Riese & Müller und IoT Venture

Das Thema Sicherheit weitet Riese & Müller im neuen Modelljahr von der reinen Produktebene auf neue digitale Services aus. Mit dem Einbau des RX GPS-Trackers erhalten Riese & Müller E-Bikes einen zukunftsweisenden Diebstahlschutz und Kunden im Schadensfall den vollen Premium-Service: Kunden melden den Verlust oder Diebstahl ihres E-Bikes rund um die Uhr online im Service-Portal "Mein Bike". Riese & Müller übernimmt die Online-Anzeige und arbeitet mit den Behörden an der Lokalisierung und Wiederbeschaffung des Fahrzeugs. Der RX GPS-Tracker ist so im Bike verbaut, dass es für Diebe nicht möglich ist, diesen zu entfernen. Zusätzlich weist ein Symbol am Bike auf die intelligente Vernetzung hin und schreckt potentielle Diebe ab. Gemeinsam mit dem Darmstädter Start-up IoT Venture hat Riese & Müller als Entwicklungspartner das Service-Konzept und die Umsetzung der Technologie für das E-Bike verwirklicht. Mit der Funktechnologie Narrow-Band IoT setzt Riese & Müller auf eine extrem sichere Zukunftstechnologie, die sich besonders durch einen geringen Stromverbrauch und eine tiefe Gebäudedurchdringung auszeichnet. Dieses RX Feature ist im Modelljahr 2019 exklusiv und optional im Nevo GT/GH/GX erhältlich. 

Digitale Serviceplattform für Händler und Endkunden

Ein weiterer Baustein der Digitalisierungsstrategie von Riese & Müller ist eine neue Serviceplattform, die den Fahrer enger mit seinem Fahrzeug vernetzt. Von der Garantieregistrierung, der Fahrzeug-Verwaltung bis zu hinterlegten Handbüchern und Anleitungen und der Vereinbarung von Serviceterminen ist alles an einem zentralen Ort zu finden. Fahrer und Händler profitieren gleichermaßen von der direkten Anbindung. Die Plattform startet Ende 2018.
