Mühltal, Germany, 24/06/2026: Lightweight, versatile, powerful: the launch of the Veya represents a completely newly developed model series for Riese & Müller, combining light weight, excellent riding performance, and the riding comfort customers have come to expect from the Riese & Müller brand in a versatile e-bike. You can either use the Veya as a fast daily commuter bike, a lightweight urban bike, or an endurance touring bike.

Lightweight concept combined with excellent versatility
The Veya was designed as an all-round platform, characterised by its lightweight construction and minimalist functional design, combined with a high level of customisation. This approach therefore aims the Veya at a broad-based target group – from performance-focussed commuters, urban users who attach importance to its slimline design and reduced weight, and riders looking for a comfortable geometry, powerful equipment, and ease of handling. In its basic configuration, the Veya starts at less than 20 kilogrammes, delivering an agile, direct, and intuitive riding experience.
“The launch of the Veya represents a new form of model platform that combines lightweight design, independence, and suitability for everyday use,” explains Markus Winkler-Papke, Chief Innovation Officer at Riese & Müller. “The Veya is setting configurability standards in its weight class and is therefore extremely versatile. However, at the same time it retains the distinctive riding quality, ergonomics, and comfort for which Riese & Müller is known.”
Frame designs
Customers can choose from a sporty-classic diamond frame (Veya) and a comfortably open low step-through bike (Veya open). Both frame versions come in sizes S, M, L and XL, offering a wide range of sizes for tailored ergonomics and lasting comfort.

Drives and gears
The Veya comes in four model versions: Veya light (Bosch Performance Line SX with Shimano Cues Linkglide 10-speed derailleur gear), Veya silent (Bosch Performance Line PX with Shimano Alfine 8-speed hub gear), Veya vario (Bosch Performance Line CX with Enviolo Utility hub gear) and Veya touring HS (Bosch Performance Line Speed with Shimano Cues Linkglide 10-speed derailleur gear). The 600 Wh battery is standard on the Veya touring HS, while the other versions come as standard with a 360 Wh battery and optionally a 600 Wh one. The Powermore Range Extender 250 can be easily retrofitted if required. The model thus spans a wide range from especially lightweight to ultra-powerful set-ups.
As standard, all versions are fitted with the Purion 200 display; alternatively, the new Bosch LED Controller can be configured with Kiox 300 or Kiox 500 (Veya touring HS).
Loading and comfort equipment options
Standard equipment includes a pannier rack, although a carrier with MIK HD system capable of carrying up to 27 kg is optionally available. The permitted total weight is 140 kg. Riese & Müller also offers various comfort upgrades for the Veya. A Suspension kit with suspension Dropper Post seatpost and suspension fork can be configured; this package is standard on the touring HS version. The Comfort kit includes comfort handlebars and comfort handles as well as a JD adjustable stem with SP Connect+ interface, depending on the version.
Systematically connected
In terms of connectivity, the Veya also offers tangible added value in everyday riding. The entire series is equipped with the RX Chip as standard. Digital functions, such as GPS tracking, motion alarm, trip recording, cockpit, and other Connected Bike services, are available. ConnectCare Free comprehensive insurance is included free of charge in the first year (availability depends on country).
