    Third-party cookies are set on our website, especially by Google. We use Google Analytics to gather statistical data. To this end, a unique ID is registered to record user behaviour on our website (number of visits, time spent, etc.) and information for advertising purposes. This information includes, among other things, your last Google searches or previous interactions with advertisements. This enables us to display relevant advertisements on other websites matched to your interests. In addition, we use Google Maps to display dealers local to you and offer better search functions. Your location and IP address are transferred to Google Maps for this purpose. We use YouTube for tracking and analysis purposes to embed videos. We also require your consent to deactivate Google Tracking for the respective tracking ID. Cookies also help to optimise the performance of the website and guarantee security by storing digitally signed and encrypted recordings of your Google account ID and the time of your last login. The motor

All Riese & Müller E-Bikes and E-Cargo bikes are equipped with Bosch motors from the Active and Performance lines. The drives impress with absolutely no need for maintenance and are among the most reliable on the market. With pedal assistance of up to 20 mph, and up to 28 mph on our HS models, you can reach any destination effortlessly.

With the tremendous driving force of the Bosch motors, you can conquer any terrain and any mountain. Its aesthetically pleasing integration into the crank bearing ensures plenty of ground clearance, a low centre of gravity, directional stability and the direct transfer of force to the back wheel via a chain or belt. The riding experience provided by the mid-mounted motor most closely approximates the sensation of riding a normal bike. All Riese & Müller E-Bikes are Pedelecs and S-Pedelecs (with the HS models). The driving force is controlled using the pedals, not via an accelerator handle as on a motorbike. The harder you push on the pedals, the more the electric drive supports you. When you stop pedalling, the motor stops, and you continue to roll – just like on any normal bike.

 

A pushing and starting aid fitted as standard helps your E-Bike up slopes even when you’re not sitting in the saddle. The button used to make your bike push itself at 6 km/h is located on the external control unit. The maintenance-free motors have an electronic control unit with an ultra-modern 32-bit processor and sensors for power, pedal rate and speed. Thanks to 1,000 sensor measurements per second, its coordination is superb. The higher the power, the higher the torque and therefore the faster the acceleration. The maximum speed up to which your motor provides assistance is 20 mph, while the Performance Speed motor on our HS models assists you at up to 28 mph. The combination of the motors with a derailleur gear enables a greater degree of efficiency than the combination with a hub gear.

The Bosch Performance Line CX motor (Gen4)

The fourth generation of the Performance CX is the most powerful E-Bike motor to have been produced by Bosch. It sets totally new benchmarks with up to 340% pedal assistance, a maximum torque of 85 Nm, extremely sporty start-up characteristics and pedalling rate assistance of up to 120 rpm. Compared to its predecessor model, it cannot fail to win you over with its greater dynamics, even lower pedal resistance and 25 % lower weight. At the same time, it is almost half the size, providing for ultra-aesthetic and unobtrusive integration.

The Bosch Performance Line Speed motor (Gen4)

Assistance up to a speed of 32 mph makes the Performance Speed drive the fastest Bosch E-Bike motor. Sporty start-up characteristics, 250 watts of power and pedal assistance up to 275 % guarantee the ultimate riding pleasure with a maximum drive torque of up to 63 Nm. For the Speed motor, you need an insurance certificate and a driving licence for small powered bikes. A driving licence for class MA (from the age of 16 upwards) or for cars includes this. Helmets are mandatory on HS models. We recommend using an E-Bike helmet that complies with the EN 1077 and EN 1078 standards.

 

The Bosch Cargo Line Cruise motor (Gen4)

The latest generation of Bosch Cargo Line Cruise motor is the most powerful E-Bike motor ever to have been produced by Bosch with programming optimised for E-Cargo bikes. It sets totally new benchmarks with up to 400% pedal assistance, a maximum torque of 85 Nm, extremely powerful start-up characteristics and pedalling rate assistance of up to 120 rpm. It cannot fail to impress with its excellent dynamics, ultra-low pedal resistance, reduced weight and small dimensions, which provides for ultra-aesthetic and unobtrusive integration.

Bosch Active Line Plus motor (Gen3)

With pedal assistance of up to 250%, the 3rd generation Active Line Plus drive is perfect for city trips, for example. Thanks to its low-profile design, it fits inconspicuously onto the frame. The torque of up to 50 Nm ensures smooth and agile acceleration. A balanced riding experience, motor coasting and no pedal resistance at over 20 mph transform every trip into an adventure.
