Riese & Müller 2018:
Integration, range and riding dynamics – the definition of pure unadulterated freedom.

Riese & Müller is focussing on integration, range and riding dynamics in 2018. Five new outstanding models: Delite 25, a limited edition model to mark 25 years of Riese & Müller, a fully integrated Supercharger, the traditional Roadster road bike, the Packster 40 cross-over E-Cargo-Bike and the New Charger with its novel integrated silhouette. The use of open spaces as the overriding image for development and public relations work symbolises pure, unadulterated freedom.

Riese & Müller is blazing into the new model year and showcasing five outstanding highlights and a wealth of innovations at Eurobike 2017. The focus of the model range is on integration, range and pure riding enjoyment. In terms of its image, Riese & Müller is pursuing the idea of freedom, vastness and individuality with really expressive and meaningful imagery.

Riese & Müller, the Weiterstadt-based German premium manufacturer of E-Bikes, E-Cargo-Bike s and folding bikes, will be showcasing its 2018 model range for the first time at the Eurobike, the leading exhibition for the international bike industry. Guided by the theme of “open spaces”, the Riese & Müller product designers and engineers have focused in particular on the themes of integration, range and riding dynamism, as well as on new transport options – to deliver even more freedom with electric cycling. “We have further honed our vision of the E-Bike of the future for 2018 and are now able to present products to our customers which more strongly than ever express Riese & Müller’s characteristic powerful riding behaviour and clearly demonstrate our innovative prowess,” explains Markus Riese, founder and CEO of Riese & Müller.

The 2018 model year will be shaped by five outstanding highlights:

The Delite 25 - a limited edition bike to mark 25 years of Riese & Müller:

To mark the 25th anniversary of the company, Markus Riese & Heiko Müller have come up with their ‘dream’ E-Bike: the Delite 25. Based on the high-end Delite model with Control Technology, the Delite 25 is essentially the electric bike that the two founders of the Weiterstadt-based manufacturer of premium E-Bikes would have designed for themselves. Control and DualBattery Technology combined with Syntace and Fox Factory components with a Kashima coating, Shimano XTR Di2 gears and high-grade disc brakes make the Delite 25 a real highlight. Every Delite 25 is numbered and comes with a certificate hand-signed by Markus Riese and Heiko Müller. The Delite 25 is available from dealers in black from September 2017 for 9.999,00 €.

The new Supercharger - perfectly integrated design and breathtaking riding dynamism.

The new Supercharger really packs a punch in terms of design and range and embodies a totally new E-Bike concept. The bike combines Riese & Müller’s DualBattery Technology, using two Bosch PowerTube batteries for twice the range with a new design integrated in the frame. Up to two Bosch PowerTube batteries are fully integrated in the ultra-sporty two-coloured frame, creating a new and powerful E-Bike look. The Supercharger comes in electric blue metallic and urban silver metallic. It is available in ten different equipment versions from October 2017 and from 4.589,00 €. It will also be produced as the Supercharger mountain with dynamic Shimano Deore XT 11-speed derailleur and high-quality Fox suspension forks.

The New Charger - integrated design and high-tech equipment in an E-Bike for everyday use.

The 2018 season is also witness to a reinterpretation of the successful Charger model – the New Charger. Its sporty, integrated design, high-tech equipment with Bosch PowerTube battery and optional DualBattery Technology, as well as its comfortable seat position, make it the perfect E-Bike for everyday use. Compared to the new Supercharger, the battery is partially integrated on the New Charger. The New Charger series is available as a Mixte version with inclined top tube and optionally with DualBattery technology. There are seven different equipment versions available from 3.879, 00 €. The New Charger will be available for delivery from October 2017 in electric red metallic, black matt and pearl white.

The new Packster 40 – a compact E-Cargo-Bike  extends the Packster range with a crossover model.

With the Packster 40, Riese & Müller, manufacturer of premium E-Bikes, is launching a compact E-Cargo-Bike onto the market for the first time. With a loading length of 40 cm and a weight of less than 66 lb, this is the perfect crossover model between and E-Bike and larger cargo bikes. The clever Packster concept allows various set-up options - from Box to Carry System with child seat - and impresses with the agile riding behaviour characteristic of Riese & Müller. The uses of the Packster 40 are therefore unlimited.

The new Roadster - pure urban design. The new Riese & Müller Roadster is the result of a total makeover of the successful bike, impressing all-comers with its attractive minimalist appearance specifically designed for fast cycling on roads. A truly unique feature of this bike is the electric green metallic version, as well as the Roadster Mixte, yet another extremely attractive version with a lower step-through. The design is dominated by attractive detailing: mudguards close to the wheels in the colour of the frame and the use of narrow low-friction tires underline its minimalist appearance. The Roadster is available in three frame sizes and comes in matt black, white and electric green metallic. It boasts four different equipment options and is available to buy from September 2017 from 2.959,00 €.

In terms of technology, the focus in 2018 is on Control Technology and DualBattery Technology, two key technologies that underline the sportiness and safe riding behaviour of Riese & Müller E-Bikes.

2018 also heralds new model additions to diverse series with a wealth of equipment options and clever details. The Nevo series will be enhanced by the Nevo GH nuvinci and Nevo GT nuvinci HS models, with the Nevo GH being approved for a total weight of up to 353 lb opening up Nevo’s typical comfort to even some of our larger clients. The Cruiser city back-pedal is a sophisticated addition to the already elegant Cruiser range, which, like the Cruiser city, boasts the new Bosch Active Plus motor – for a perfect riding feeling. A dynamic Birdy touring will be launched – an addition to the classic Birdy folding bike with its innovative folding technology. A new addition to the Delite series is the Delite mountain rohloff, guaranteed to deliver maximum riding fun and enjoyment plus the ultimate in riding safety – even off-road.

In terms of its public relations message, Riese & Müller is focussing on the idea of freedom – its imagery strongly featuring vastness, emotion and individuality. “We are consciously moving in a different direction and would like our images to convey what the brand represents – power, energy and the “magic moments” that we endeavour to combine with our product experiences,” comments Dr. Sandra Wolf, CEO of Riese & Müller.
